The Lowe’s Foundation is focused on closing the skilled trades labor gap across the United States. Their mission is to develop a community of skilled tradespeople who can build and revitalize our homes, neighborhoods and infrastructure for the future.

The Gable Grants program will provide $50 million over the next 5 years to directly support community and technical colleges and community-based nonprofit organizations to help prepare 50,000 people for careers in the skilled trades. Trades like plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliance repair and construction are facing a critical shortage of skilled tradespeople. These grants will support the groups working to increase the number of young and diverse tradespeople.

Now through Sept 1, the Lowe’s Foundation is accepting Gable Grant applications from community-based nonprofit organizations – find out more about our commitment and apply at www.lowes.com/foundation.
