Our Story

I Build NH was created by in 2018 as part of a statewide initiative to help businesses in targeted industries address workforce needs, while also helping workers prepare for and advance in careers in these critical sectors. 

The Associated Builders & Contractors NH/VT took over the  inititative in 2022 and expanded its reach to include Vermont. 

I Build NH/VT is an initiative of Associated Builders and Contractors NH/VT.

Mark Hodsdon
President | Palmer & Sicard Inc.

Mark Hodsdon has been in the construction industry for more than 30 years; starting his career as an Apprentice Carpenter and eventually becoming a Superintendent, Project Manager, Estimator, General Manager, and Vice President for a Commercial General Contracting Firm. Mark is the President and CEO of Palmer and Sicard, Inc. an employee-owned Mechanical Contracting Firm.

Stacey Kallelis
Work Based Learning Coordinator | Salem High School

Over the past six years, Stacey has worked to bridge the gap between business and education, bringing opportunities to the students of SHS while developing strong ties within the community. With a background in marketing and a desire to consistently push the envelope, Stacey has built up various unique career exploration and development opportunities over the years. It is her mission to help students build connections and experience that will serve as a strong foundation for their futures. 

Michelle Hilger
Chief Connector, OnSite Power Advocate, Diesel Fuels Specialist, Mongoose Power Solutions

Michelle is an On-Site Power Generation Advocate and Liaison, bridging the gap between regulatory agencies, end users, and generator service providers. 

Catherine Drouin
Vice President, Green Mountain Communications 

Catherine is one of Green Mountain Communications cofounders and currently serves as the company’s vice president. She oversees the company’s business operations, finance, and human resources, including policies and procedures. Catherine manages the IT, marketing, and administration departments. Her leadership supports the company’s strategic plans.

With 33 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Catherine brings a strong focus on efficiencies to improve the workflow processes for the employees and uphold the company’s standards of excellence. She takes pride in fostering Green Mountain’s culture of a team working environment.

Karen LaMontagne
Vice President, LaMontagne Builders Inc (LBI)

Karen is part of the third generation of LaMontagne Builders Inc (LBI). Since 1964, LBI has been developing homes across southern New Hampshire. Specializing in the process of purchasing raw land through to the delivery of completed communities to homeowners. Karen is currently the Assistant Vice President of the company and oversees much of the daily operations.

Luiza Mills
Senior Vice President, Interstate Electrical Services Corp.

Luiza Mills brings over 16 years of executive management experience in electrical distribution to her role as Vice President of Human Resources and Public Relations at Interstate Electrical Services.

Mills’ education, energy, passion for excellence, and ability to focus on the details while never losing sight of the broader picture, are assets that drive Interstate and its employees to achieve continued success.

 

Jennifer L. Landon
V.P. Education and Workforce Development | Associated Builders and Contractors NH/VT Chapter (ABC NH/VT)
Project Manager | I Build NH/VT

In her role with I Build NH/VT, Jennifer’s mission is to spread the word about the many career paths in the construction industry and to showcase how construction touches our lives every day. With ABC NH/VT, she coordinates open-enrollment and customized education and training programs to meet the construction industry’s safety and professional development needs.

Jennifer further supports the industry as a Certified Grief Educator, Construction Suicide Prevention Trainer, Mental Health Awareness Educator, Recovery-Friendly Workplace Advocate, facilitates leadership training using the DISC behavior assessment as the foundation, and helps companies develop workplace cultures that value psychological safety.
