DESCRIPTION:Employers — PLEASE REGISTER BY APRIL 8th! \nFearless Future Event Goals:\nTo connect employers\, colleges\, and other organizations with Windham County’s young\, up-and-coming talent. \nTo connect Windham County’s students with opportunity and some of the limitless\, often non-traditional pathways to postsecondary success such as… \n\nHigh-wage/high-growth employers\n2 and 4 year colleges\nCertification and Credential of Value programs\nPublic service such as the military\, law enforcement\, firefighting and EMT careers\nVolunteer service such as Job Corps\, AmeriCorps\, or Teach for America\nBusiness planning and financing resources for young entrepreneurs\nGap year\nAnd more!\n\nThe Fearless Futures Summit is more than a traditional career or college fair… \n\nPresenters will offer interactive stations to showcase the myriad opportunities at their organization and pathways to success students might not be aware of. (If you have available jobs\, please feel free to advertise to our students!)\nStudents will gain confidence and position themselves for thriving futures in Windham County and beyond.\nBefore the event\, students will research postsecondary pathways of interest and come armed with questions to help clarify their goals and learn about the importance of reputation\, social capital\, and networking.\nAfter the event\, students will reflect on the experience with their peers and teachers. Those who identify a particular pathway of interest will be provided support in taking the next steps to reach their goal.\n\nRaffles\, photobooths\, yummy snacks\, and more will add to the fun of these community-building events designed to make invaluable connections for all involved. \nQuestions?
